Sunshine Beach Residence

The task was to convert a modern, airy house into a warm, family home. Close to the sea the feeling is beachy, but this is not a holiday house but a full-time home, meaning that it needs to work all year round, cool in the summer and warm and welcoming during the winter months. The cavernous entrance was a particular challenge, and has been softened by the addition of a vertical garden. Colour and texture has been added with hand-blocked textiles and natural finishes. Still a work in progress, but slowly coming togther.
